Prototype Release v.0.2. - What's Next

Hey there, quick update following this release!

Had a bit of a bumpy second release this time around, and started noticing some cracks in the Engine I was using for developing Light-Space Love; essentially some of the error-checking and crash-prevention inside of Godot wasn't to my liking -- being a solo-dev myself, I needed an engine that was as 'hacky', perhps if I had a larger team I'd be more than happy to continue with Godot -- also, given what I wanted to do with Light-Space Love, Godot may not have been the best engine to achieve that in the first place. Although it was great for quickly spinning up a prototype! If I decide to build another game after Light-Space Love, I'll likely build a quick prototype in Godot once again.

With that, I started looking into other engines, such as GameMaker and Unity, Unity being the final choice I made for Light-Space Love's next release. I'm already pretty deep in development at this point and the Unity engine has been fantastic. It's definitely not as lightweight as Godot, but a lot of the capabilities it has has made development kind of excellent.

I'm also going to be opening up for some testers for each release -- I'm currently on vacation, but plan on going into more detail about that coming when I return on the 20th, essentially testers will get "first access", granted it will be to the "buggy" version, but I'd like to catch these issues before the majority of players gets their hands on it.

Long story short, I'll be developing Light-Space Love in Unity going forward and I'll be opening up for testers before my SubscribeStar/Patreon releases.

I hope you continue to follow this game and I'm looking to start having more frequent releases by late December, early January! Much love!
